Pero lo que encuentra es a una chica furiosa atrapada en una maldición, un fantasma distinto a todos los demás. Todavía lleva el vestido del día en que cometieron su brutal asesinato en 1958, un vestido que un día fue blanco y ahora aparece cubierto de sangre. Desde el día de su muerte, Anna ha asesinado a todo aquel que ha osado entrar en la casa abandonada que, una vez, fue su hogar.

Pero, por alguna razón, a Cas le perdona la vida.

Anna vestida de sangre definitivamente no fue lo que esperaba. Es decir, no es que esto sea algo malo, quizá esperaba algo más romántico, pero Kendare Blake, muy lejos del romanticismo, me llevó de viaje a una historia que, por momentos, me puso los pelos de punta.

Creo que es la primera novela YA enteramente de terror que leo. Anna me sorprendió y mucho.

El protagonista de la historia es el joven Cassio –un nombre bastante extraño– que es un caza fantasmas desde que su padre murió en una de las misiones. El protagonista está acostumbrado a la vida que lleva junto a su madre, yendo de ciudad en ciudad en busca del fantasma que le encargaron matar. Los pasos son simples: llega, encuentran alojamiento, busca información específica sobre la muerte de la persona cuyo fantasma anda rondando y asesinando personas, y luego va al enfrentamiento, lo mata y se vuelve a marchar de la ciudad en busca de su siguiente objetivo. Pero todo cambia cuando un amigo de Cass le habla sobre Anna, Anna vestida de sangre, un fantasma que se ha cobrado las vidas de muchas personas. Sin embargo, lo que Cass no sabe es que Anna no es un fantasma más, Anna murió de una forma muy peculiar y hay una razón, muy oscura, por la cual ella es tan fuerte.

Nevermore es el primer tomo de una trilogía romántica/gótica con un gran guiño a Allan Poe, MUERO por leer este book :D
